It's finally Fall and we're feeling it in Houston (average temperature is in the 80s which is saying a lot for Houston!). We've been outdoors as much as possible.
Oliver is getting into a more regular sleeping routine, and by 8 p.m. both he and Sasha are in bed. This gives James and I much needed time to ourselves.
He seems very anxious to be sitting up and looking at his surroundings. As soon as we lay him down, he lifts his head and struggles to get into a sitting position. So we got him a little chair in which he can sit upright. He loves it! He also spends lots of time in his jumper, and has learned to coordinate his legs and knee-bending in order to get a good jump.
He and Sasha adore each other. She's so proud of being a big sister and she's such a good one. She knows how to comfort him when he gets fussy. She gives him different toys and talks to him, or gives him caresses. She's a great help in the car when he needs something and I can't reach him in the backseat.
Hiking:
Home run!
His new boppy chair:
Now he can join us at the table!
Toys and tummy time:
"But how do I reach them?"
He can roll over onto his side!
Don't know if this will ever get old!
We never use our dining room, since we eat comfortably at the table in the kitchen. So we converted the dining room into a children's class room! Classes will hopefully start very soon!
