A little of everything...

We went strawberry picking!

Oliver has been enjoying playing with balls:

"I got it!"

Pipe cleaners are wonderful! here's one of Sasha's many creations, a chicken:

Grampy Barry and Grammy Kathy came for a visit to share a traditional Jewish Seder dinner with us.

Grampy spent some great quality time with Sasha.

Letting her ride on his back:

Climbing on her structure:

Playing with dominos:

And reading together:

Grampy also spent some time with Oliver, who's going through some stranger anxiety. At first from a distance:

Gradually closer:

The evening before the Seder dinner, we had them over for dinner. James made chicken kebabs, an arugula salad, and israeli couscous with roasted tomatoes and olives!

Some relaxing time after dinner at Aunt Adrienne's:

We went to visit Sasha's friend Matthew, who lives way out in the country. They have the coziest little home surrounded by lots of trees, a lake with an island, and lots of wild life.

We took a little walk and they held hands, so sweet:

Oliver wanted to explore on his own:

Sasha thoroughly enjoyed Matthew's swing:

Oliver also wanted a turn:

Surprisingly, Oliver let Matthew's dad, Arnie, hold him:

Our growing garden!

Playing with her friend Jander:

Our virtue's class. We get between 2 and 6 children:

At a birthday party:

Ice skating with her neighborhood friend, Valentina:

Bluebonnets:

Sasha has been going to a free Spanish class at the library. Here she's showing us her drawing of the topic of the class for that day, monkeys:

The best learning is done within a context and with a purpose:

Sasha found her math counters and wanted to play with them right away. She grabbed her little doll people and pretended they were having a picnic. Then she handed out fruit and naturally practiced some addition, subtraction and division.

We found a wonderful book called "I Can Draw People" and it has given Sasha a lot of confidence in herself in terms of her ability to draw. Here are some of her faces:
